Created by Colby professor Arisa White (librettist) and composed by Jessica Jones, Post Pardon: An Opera in Concert is a bold new work that blends avant-garde improvisation, soul-stirring melodies, and a jazz-informed palette of sound. Conducted by Mazz Swift and musically directed by Marshunda Smith, the dynamic cast is led by three outstanding vocalists: Ashley Renée Watkins-Alston, a powerhouse multi-genre artist; Jeannine Anderson, a versatile operatic and theater vocalist; and Kay Patterson, a luminous lyric soprano.
