The Elijah Parish Lovejoy Award, established in 1952, is awarded to journalists who continue the Lovejoy heritage of fearlessness and commitment to freedom of the press. Jacqueline Charles, a Pulitzer Prize finalist and Emmy Award-winning Caribbean correspondent for the Miami Herald, will receive the 2024 Lovejoy Award for Courage in Journalism from Colby College.
