Colby Island Campus Spring Clean-Up Day
Saturday, April 26, 7 a.m.–6 p.m.

Prepare the islands for the diverse programming that benefits Colby students and faculty, as well as the greater St. George community. This year, we’ll be working on hiking trail maintenance as well as cleaning up Betsy’s Beach. Special guest Captain Doug Saunders, retired captain of the Otherworld, will join us to share insights into the island’s history and its hidden landscapes.

Attend an exclusive webinar with Doug Saunders, former captain of the Otherworld and longtime steward of Allen and Benner islands. With 17 years of firsthand experience living and working on these remarkable islands, Doug will share the fascinating history of Allen and Benner islands.

The Puffins are Calling!
Sunday, July 27, 7 a.m.–6 p.m.

Back by popular demand, our puffin-filled adventure is open to Colby alumni, students, families, and friends. Join us for a day-long excursion, including a scenic cruise to Eastern Egg Rock, narrated by Stephen W. Kress, Ph.D, author of Project Puffin: The Improbable Quest to Bring a Beloved Seabird Back to Egg Rock.

Alumni Colby Outdoor Orientation Trip (COOT)
Saturday, Aug. 16–Sunday, Aug. 17.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of COOT, we’re planning an overnight camping trip on Colby’s Island Campus. Participants will be required to bring their own tents and camping gear. This trip is for alumni only, and space will be very limited.

Colby Island Campus Fall Clean-Up Day
Saturday, Sept. 20, 7 a.m.–6 p.m.

The final 2025 trip to The Island Campus will be a community clean-up day! Help us preserve the natural beauty of The Island Campus, ensuring it can continue to support the amazing academic, cultural, and community-based programs it offers.
