Colby Kids childcare provides supervised childcare for your children up to age 12. A full program of supervised activities is planned for Friday evening, Saturday afternoon, and Saturday evening. Your child can attend some of all of these sessions.

You must preregister for childcare by May 15, 2015. Reservations cannot be accepted after that date

Children will enjoy games, crafts, healthy snacks, meals, movies, and outdoor activities. Children's events on Saturday afternoon are available to all children, but adults must accompany children who are not pre-registered with Colby Kids.

Colby Kids will be located at The Street in the lower level of Miller Library. This area will be secure and closely supervised. Outdoor activities will be on the lawn between Averill Hall and the Lovejoy building.

Further Information

Babies and children up to 12 may attend the children’s program. Run by a Colby staff member, babysitters include current Colby students and area high school students. The ratio of babysitter to child is one to two or three.

For infants through age 4, there is a separate, supervised area with space for naps, rocking chair for nursing mothers, age-appropriate toys, snacks and meals.

Preregistered children are required to wear a colored wristband (provided) to identify them as part of the program. These children will be assigned to a small group supervised by a member of our childcare staff.

Parents are required to fill out a medical release card and must sign their children in and out of the program at the main childcare desk. Parents must remain on campus while their children attend childcare.

Children should bring a bag or backpack for their belongings. Items to bring include extra clothing, a sweatshirt or windbreaker, and perhaps a water bottle. Please clearly mark names on all items.
